Geeksphone Keon is here.
Though as a ReMo, I often received swags from Mozilla for the events I organized for the past months.
Only this time, a UPS delivery guy asked me.
UPS Guy: Sir, ano po ba itong laman package mo? (Sir, what's inside of your package?)
Me: Geeks phone Keon po, FirefoxOS Developer preview phone. Isa ako sa iilan na meron nyan dito sa Pilipinas. Developer preview pa lang po ito Kuya, hindi pang end user para pang testing at pag develop ng apps ito.
(It's Geeks phone Keon, FirefoxOS Developer preview phone. I'm one of few here in the Philippines to have this phone.
This is for Developer, not for end user. This device is for and testing developing apps)
UPS Guy: Wow ayos ah, sana ilalabas na yan atin. (Wow nice! hope have that on our local market)..
Me: Hopefully this year Kuya meron na yan. (Hopefully this year we can have it on our local market)
UPS. Ito na ang package mo, paki sign na lang dito, binayaran na nila ang tax.(Here's your package, please sign here, they (Mozilla) already paid the tax.)
Me: Awesome!! (with big smile)
Maraming Salamat Mozilla!!
I already tried the battery performance.
4 days standby mode.
6-8 hours regular usage
I love the rubber-like orange plastic cover, it's very comfy to hold, and very easy to remove. (Unlike my Alcatel Adriod phone, it's hard to remove the cover).

MozTour @ EARIST
Few month ago, I got an invitation from my fellow EARISTian Raymark Palaña on behalf of Volunteer Student Association (VSA) and Association of Computer Engineering Students Society (ACESS) in to have a MozTour.
With the help of those organization and to my fellow ReMo,Kemuel Joseph Domanog (student Reps Lead) & Robert "Bob" Reyes (Localization Lead, ReMo council member) the event was very successful.
As usual we have our Eventbrite Registration page and Etherpad page for planning.
The event is started with the registration, after our audience is settled, we started with a prayer then a National anthem.
I started a talked as an overview of the Mozilla, Mozilla in the Philippines, New Projects & Programs..
(Photo courtesy of Kemuel Joseph Domanog @kidium)
Sir Bob discussed the Localization and the New Firefox OS.

Kim discussed the Students Reps Program.

And lastly, I discussed the ReMo program.
(Photo courtesy of Kemuel Joseph Domanog @kidium)
We enjoyed the program as well as the students as they get T-shirts once they can answer our trivia.
Students get home with the knowledge from Mozilla and a smile that even a international organization touch down to their school.
The swags are enough for all of them to have.
Please check out MozPH Flickr account for more photos, photos courtesy of Kemuel Joseph Domanog @kidium.
Also please check my Picasa Web Album for other photos.
